At the end of Larnaka’s vibrant touristic coastline, very close to the hotel, a unique underwater world awaits exploration. The Elpida, Lambousa, and LEF1 wrecks were intentionally submerged in this area to create artificial reefs and enrich the local marine environment, forming one of Cyprus’s most accessible diving locations.
The Elpida Wreck is the largest and most striking of the three. Once a working cargo ship, it now rests on the seabed, offering divers multi-level exploration through its decks and interior spaces. Its depth and scale make it particularly appealing to experienced and advanced divers.
The Lambousa Wreck offers a more relaxed dive. Smaller in size, it provides an excellent opportunity to observe how marine life flourishes around artificial structures, with fish schools and coral growth already well established.
Completing the experience, the LEF1 Wreck lies at shallower depths and is frequently used for training and introductory dives. Despite its compact structure, it delivers rewarding encounters with marine life and great underwater photography opportunities.
Together, these three wrecks form a distinctive underwater route, combining convenience, sustainability, and unforgettable diving experiences along Larnaka’s coastline.
